Selbstschmierende Sinterlager aus grafithaltiger Sinterbronze
Sinterlager aus grafithaltiger Sinterbronze sind präzise gefertigte Gleitlager, die dank ihrer besonderen Materialstruktur selbstschmierend sind. Bei der Herstellung werden feine Metallpulver mit Grafit unter hohem Druck geformt und anschließend bei kontrollierter Temperatur gesintert. Durch diesen Prozess entsteht ein selbstschmierender Werkstoff, der auch bei kleinsten Bewegungen einen wartungsfreien Betrieb garantiert.

Unterschied zu ölgetränkten Sinterlagern:
Während ölgetränkte Sinterlager bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten ihre Vorteile haben, zeigen Sinterlager mit Festschmierstoff bei geringen bis mittleren Geschwindigkeiten (0,5 m/s) und hohen Belastungen ihre Stärke.
Auch sind Start/Stop- und Winkelbewegungen (somit gut geeignet für Lagerungen bei Positioniersystemen in der Automatisierungstechnik) für die feststoffgeschmierten Sinterlager kein Problem, während diese Bewegungsabläufe ein ölgetränktes Lager schnell überfordern, da hierbei kein ausreichender Ölfilm sich aufbauen kann, der die Welle trägt.
Darüber hinaus können je nach Festschmierstoff Einsatzbereiche erreicht werden, bei denen kein öl- oder fettgeschmiertes Lager noch sicher betrieben werden kann.
